A&E has a great show Confessions Of A Matchmaker featuring Patti Novak a matchmaker from Buffalo New York. Patti Novak has a frank style that works well cutting through the defenses of her matchmaking clients and really gets to the heart of their dating problems. The show Confessions Of A Matchmaker is unique in that it shows Patti Novak giving a background on the client she's trying to help. Then the show cuts to a meeting with Patti Novak and the client in her office and then her contacting that person's match. Then the date is filmed and sometimes it goes well, other times her client blows the date. Patti then meets again with the client and reviews in a frank and brutally honest manner what went right and what went wrong on the date. Patti Novak is a genius of human nature and that and her ability to speak honestly to her clients is what makes her a fantastic matchmaker.
